CUBASE editing audio

NYMorningstar

Recording Modus Operandi
I use Cubase with Wave Lab. When I choose a track and select 'edit audio' on the pull down menu, the track opens up in Wave Lab for editing. A few times after editing the track, I returned to Cubase and it automatically updated the track in Cubase. I don't know how I did this and now when I edit and return to Cubase I need to save the edited track to a different filename, return to Cubase, delete the unedited track and import the updated track. Does anyone know how to get Wave Lab and Cubase to work together and update the track automatically?

...in cubase dbl clk on the track, then dbl clk on it again...this will start wavelab...make your edit(s) in wavelab...then, clk on File and clk Save...wavelab will write/create the new file...then, simply clk on cubase (in the tray) and cubase will update that track to reflect your edits...this is only how "I" do it...I'm sure there are other ways.
