In Cubase 7, how to I set Tempo after Song has recorded tracks?

Hey guys, quick question...

Since I'm an idiot, I seem to always forget to set Cubase 7 to the correct tempo of the song. Therefore, by the time I wish to set the tempo (add fake drums), I always find it set to 120bpm.

When I go to change the tempo in the Transport, it always manages to screw up some recorded tracks and throw some things off. Is there a way to do this properly?

Thanks!
Tait

Underneath the automation read button (R), there is a button with a 1/4 note in it. If you press that, the 1/4 note will change to a clock. That is what changes the track from tempo based to time based. Change all the tracks to time base and they will no longer move or change when you set the tempo.

Hello,

#1, as Farview already mentioned, you have to switch your track from musical mode to linear mode.
It is explained on page 341 of the PDF manual.
By default all the tracks in Cubase will be set to musical mode.

Best regards,
GN
