Digital In Unlock msg. on Roland VS-880

My VS-880 will not recognize the digital output from my SB Live Value with daughter board. On the other hand my Tascam sees the signal..so I know the sampling rate is correct I also checked in the wave setup in SB software. In the Poland manual I connot find any other info on test ing the sampling rate. It appears to be correct.. Any suggestions?
