Two things:
how can I make a gradual time signature change? Like a fluid transition from 200 to 100 bpm over a few bars with a click?

2nd:

Why is 2/4 longer than a 5/4 bar?
2/8 is also longer than 5/4 when I tried it.

I'm supposed to be counting two 4ths but it's obviously a 6/4 bar.

edit: figured out the second one. I was zoomed out too far. lol!

For the first question, look up tempo map in the manual. ( im not a protools user)

You are looking to change the tempo, not the time signature. There is no way to change a time signature gradually.

Make your selection on the tempo bar then go to event>tempo operations>linear.
In the box that pops up make sure the selection numbers and tempos are right then hit apply.

You can also draw freehand tempo rises/falls if you expand the tempo bar at the top of the edit window.
There's an arrow there to the left of the word tempo. Use the pencil tool.

Don't forget, you can scroll up/down in this area. (took me a minute!)
