PT HD 7.0 and compatible virtual synth

I have had PT HD 7.0 for a number of years. Since it has exceeded all my capabilities and due to the fact that I'm not a "techie" I have not upgraded to any subsequent versions.

I really want to add a soft synth to my current rig but I am having trouble finding one compatible to this "old"
    version of PT.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks cmk

What kind of soft synth? Anything in particular?
PT should come with one or two. I think V7 had xpand, right?
