Pro Tools 11 looking for regions that were deleted a long time ago

PT11 is always trying to search for tracks that I deleted a while back when I boot up a certain session.

They aren't in the clip-list anymore, I trashed them completely and the associated .wav files that I had imported.

How do I get rid of the error message?

Hi Schwarz,
You say they're not in the clip list?
You mean in the edit window, when you expand the list at the right hand side?

If you delete clips from the list or remove the source wav files, but the region still exists in the session, Protools will complain about it.
Do you have active regions which are showing as blank?
Don't forget to check any tracks you may have hidden.

You need to delete those empty regions so that PT will no longer look for the missing files.

Damn man. Not sure what to tell you.

I actually have a session right now which is doing exactly the same thing but with a video/audio file.
There's absolutely no reference to it whatsoever in the session yet it still complains about the file being missing on launch every time.

I wonder could it just be a bug or glitch?
