Good system for PT9??

Hi everyone,

I am a Windows user, running on Win7 Ultimate with Pro Tools LE 8.0.4. I always have gotten errors on Win 7 and windows in general running Pro-Tools. I finally decided to invest in a mac. So I have a few questions:

1. Is upgrading to PT9 worth it?
2. What type of mac system would run well with it. (Ex: Macbook, Mac Pro...)
3. Would it run the same if I just bought the MAC OS and installed it on my machine I have now? It would basically be a dual boot. Win 7 & Leopard.

Thanks for any help. I really appreciate it

You can't install PT9 on a Leopard machine. You must have Snow Leopard installed.

Pro Tools 9 is probably worth the upgrade, if you need delay compensation, or if you want to use a third party interface, but in terms of other features it's probably not worthwhile.

I meant to say 'Snow Leopard'. Sorry.

Was there any particular mac system you recommend? I was looking to get a macbook pro. Mac Pro's are just too expensive for me right now.
