Digi 003-missing inputs in pro tools

Hello!
For some reason my protools LE thinks at I only have 4 inputs. I plug my mics into my 4 mic preamps..channels 1-4 and when I create tracks in pro tools it says. Input 1, Input 2, Input 3, and 4. It all works fine. However if I try to use 5-8 there is no way to pull those up. Pro Tools doesn't realize that the 003 has 8 inputs. Am I missing something? Do I need to change something in peripherals or I/O?

check your I/O setup. switch it back to default

Thanks. I just did that. 1-4 look fine. But instead of audio 5-8 it starts over and is ADAT 1, 2, 3, 4. Shouldn't there be audio 5-8?

You should be able to create new i/o inputs in the i/o dialog and then just click them in to be your line ins.

just manually create the inputs you need. that's what's great about the I/O setup in PT. You can route the inputs to wherever you want manually.

Not sure why the 003 is not creating them though. It should be 1-8 as analog and then the rest digital.

Unless you opened a session from a different system and then the i/o from it became the "last used".

Thanks for the replies. I ended up using default inputs, and then in creating a new session using stereo mix rather than last used I/O. Thanks for the help.
