Annoying sounds

I don't get it. That last two recordings I've done on acoustic guitar I'm getting these little noises that I could not have made on my guitar. The first sounded like a harmonica whistle, no way a guitar could make that noise. And now tonight I get what sounds like a metronome click? What gives, I've been recording on pro-tools several years now and this is the first time this has happened. Same mic, same everything, any ideas???

Wow.hmm. That doesn't sound like your average interference or clocking error.
Like you say, it actually sounds like a metronome.
I was gonna ask if you're certain that metronomes and click tracks are turned off, but you say there's a whistling sound as well?

First thing I would do is start from scratch to see if the problem is there or not.
Open a split new session and keep it as simple as possible. Just have a guitar track or whatever. Record a bit, play it back...Just see what happens.
