Reversing Audio

I was working on a track today and wanted to have a region of it play backwards for effect during the outro. it worked really well, but the problem is that it also reversed the original region. My steps were...

1. Copy the region
2. Paste it in the new track
3. Reverse the newly pasted region

Any ideas where the problem lies?

Hi there.
Yeah, Logic doesn't play nice that way. You have to make a copy of the region of audio you want reversed, bring the copy into your arrange window, apply the reversal to the copied section and move it into position to replace the normal 'forward' audio part.

Copy the region
Paste it in the new track
*right click > convert > conver to new audio file
Reverse the newly pasted region
