I'm using Reaper 32 bit on XP 32 bit. I've been considering picking up XP 64 bit and increasing my RAM to 4GB. Right now I got 3GB. Even though there is not a final 64 bit version of Reaper available yet, would Reaper have access to more RAM in a 64 bit operating system even though the software is still 32 bit?

So in other words, is it worthwhile doing?

only if you download and use the Beta 64 bit version of Reaper, at least as far as I know. Despite having a 64 bit operating system, I just went back to using the 32 bit version of Reaper so I can run 32 bit plugins.

Just like you can still use 32 bit software on a 64 bit system you can still use 32 bit plugs also. Plus Reaper is Large Address Aware so it will have access to an additional gigabyte of RAM even though the application is still 32 bit.

What you can't do is use 32 bit plugs with a 64 bit application.
