    I printed off the pdf file and put it in a 3 ring binder. That a way, I can unplug from the computer, read it, makes notes, create cheat sheets for processes, and settings to look at or change.

    That's a good solution. I have discovered a work-around which, for now anyway, has been working.

    With Reaper open, I "minimize" it before opening a browser tab, or before switching to a previously opened tab. This seems to create less conflict - a convoluted way of just keeping it in the background.. which should happen automatically as a function of Windows; but doesn't for some reason. i get older, my equipment gets smaller
