Been playing with a song mix for a while, but when I imported the drum tracks to it (courtesy of John - Bongoboy), somehow everything got messed up.
Thought I had it all resolved, but ....
You know that bass is mostly non-directional ... so I never noticed the bass guitar was coming out of only the left monitor (yeah, I know, should have checked on headphones)
Mono track, panned to center. Pan to the right, it disappeared. So I thought maybe its the PodFarm plugin. Nope. Copied it to a new track. Nope, same thing.
About to post the problem here, then ..... I noticed it was on an instrument 'group', opened up the group and it was panned 80% to the left.
Put that back on center and then everything that was panned to the right got REAL loud!
So I learned something - use the damn headphones! Since I got the JBL monitors I'm using them all the time for mixing, whereas I used to use headphones for the basic mix set up stuff- automation/envelopes, etc.
