How do I record two tracks at once w/ audiophile 2496

Hey I have an Audiophile 2496 and I want to record two tracks at the same time using Cool Edit Pro. How exactly do I go about doing this? To i set two tracks to record at the same time and it will do it for me? I have one device in 1 input and the other device in the other input on the Audiophile. I've heard that you have to pan things to get this to go on two tracks? I'm confused ANyone ?

hey man i hope i can explain myself...:D

first, well..., you get your devices plugged and all lol

then on cool edit you get into the multitrack view...
in track 1 you push that little button that says REC 1, a little window shows the recording devices available (make sure your card is selected) , you select the right channel option. you do the same for track 2 (but chosing left channel of course!)

then you set both tracks to record (the R button) and well,. thats it
