I had 3 tracks that were Bass guitar and i wanted to make them just the one track so i went to bounce to a track and it made it a stereo file. Does this effect the track in any way..for instance, louder, different sounding? It was only recorded mono.

Just wanted to know if it mattered or was a good thing.
Thanks

It wont affect the loudness as it's coming the same level out of both speakers. It would get 6 dB softer if you only used one side of that stereo file by panning it.

Why are you using a stereo mixdown for bass anyway? By making it stereo you are also waisting Hard Drive space as it's like having 2 mono channels, left and right.
When you bounce just select 'All waves mono'

Brett,
what you want to do is mix down to mono.
to do that go to edit, the hover over mix down and you get more
options, then you can select a mono mixdown, either all waves in the session or just the ones you have selected.
you will have to save the mix down, then import the file on a track.

hope that helps.
