....a quick read through suggests that pretty well all the things that caused me to stick with AA3.01 have been restored and there are some new features that have me drooling. I assume that they'll be giving the supply details at the NAB announcement next week. I'll certainly be trying this out as soon as I possibly can!

Looks interesting!
I am an old AA3,0 user too and will definitely take a closer look to CS6

I see the price went up for upgrades. If you have an older version such as 1.5, 2, or 3, you now must pay $149 to preorder. That Blows.

Yeah. That was discussed over on the Adobe forums--it seems that in the future, upgrade prices for any Adobe product will only apply to the immediate previous version.

Of bigger concern to me is finding out the international pricing. To have upgraded from AA3 to CS5.5 (which cost $99 in the USA) I would have had to pay Aus$149 which was nearly US$180 at the exchange rate prevailing when I decided NOT to upgrade. This time it appears that, for the download at least, I might be able to buy at American prices. I'll have to see once the trial is available though.

You can read the explanation from the Audition developers (who are on our side) HERE.

Just to let everyone know, Audition CS6 was formally released on May 7th. I've been playing with it all week and I'm sold on so many of the new features.

I resent what they want to charge for the upgrade--but I've "bit the bullet" and am happy with my purchase.
