I have been using cakewalk since studio , have had platinum since it came out and really like it . Bummer that Gibson did what they did. Any way , I have the software loaded on two computers A desk top that I use in my studio for all the heavy lifting , Mixing , editing and such, and a laptop that I use as part of my mobile rig , the problem is my laptop has recently died . Its my understanding that you can only have the software on two computers . The hard drive from the laptop is functional and can be removed and put into an external case . How do I get the software onto the new laptop that I now have to buy ? HELP !!!!!!!

I haven't looked at band camp and what they are doing ,I need to have a DAW that is fully functional with no limitations on tracks that can be recorded at once , methods of exporting files , storage etc.…..
No desire to spend $$$$$ to by another DAW
Thanks

Your understanding is wrong.

You can install Cakewalk/Sonar on as many computers as you like

The only caveat in the EULA was that you could only USE one of them at a time

I never found this to be a problem due to a lack of limbs

I currently have it installed on 4 different computers
