I'm researching putting together a PC based DAW, using Sonar 4 PE as the sequencer/multitrack program.
I live in Toronto, Canada, and am planning on doing some work with my cousin - who lives in the U.K., and who has a Mac - by sending tracks back and forth over the net. For now my cousin is using one of the more basic sequencers (can't remember which one - Guitar Tracks?).
If we stick to pure, unadulterated (un-effected) .WAV files, will we be able to do some work without any technical problems, such as synching tracks etc., rearing their ugly heads, or is using different platforms, operating systems and sequencers simply asking for trouble?
I understand that Cubase is cross-platform compatible, but don't really know what that means in this context. I also have my heart set on Sonar 4 PE.
