Need the Cool Edit Pro registry thingy....

Still' Dreamin'

New member
Well folks I lost all my music files and programs due to a bug and carelessness.

I Installed all my programs back but I need that thread that instructs one on how to edit the registry to have Cool Edit Pro open up on Sonar's menu. Can anyone help?

*Also, can one speed the pitch up on Sonar 2XL with audio files?

...or better yet, download this .reg.txt file. Rename to Cake.reg
(just remove the.txt)
Edit (if necessary, using Notepad) the patch to location where your installed Cool Edit Pro in your HD.
Save it and right click, Merge.

(remember, it should be renamed Cake.reg)
Hope it helps.
;)

Ok....

Can the speed, (pitch), of a recorded wave be slowed or sped up on Sonitus 2XL?

I know in the old analog days this could be done.....

Oh, yeah, shure! (Woops....)

There is an effect called... err... don't remember exactly... something like "Tempo/Pitch-shifter". You'll find it. But my experience is that CoolEdits and SoundForges pitch/tempo-shifters are better.

here's a little app that you can use to add ANY program to your Cakewalk Tools menu. It sits on my desktop, and I use it when I want to try different wav editors and such. It's called Cakewalk Tools Edit. I don't remember where it came from, but kudos to the dude who developed it. And it's free!! Get it here:
