I'm using:

1. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3600+
2. RAM 1GB
3. No Graphic card
4. Firewire port
5. Alesis MultiMix Firewire 16 channel
6. Line6 Toneport UX-1
7. Reason 3.0
8. Cakewalk SONAR 6
9. Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2

My problem is:

1. Everytime I record my tracks (drum, guitar, etc), Cakewalk suddenly crashed
even when I change the buffer to find that "sweet buffer" spot. Until now, I
can't find that sweet spot!
2. I have updated my Alesis' driver but still it doesn't work.
3. I used default settings for my Cakewalk. What should I change?

PLEASE!!! HELP ME!!!!!!!!!

Ok, #1, yes you do have a video card. I'm guessing its onboard. What kind is it? ATI? nVidia? Intel?

Have you checked for IRQ conflicts?

What Firewire chipset does your Firewire controller use? VIA? TI? Nec?

oh, sorry..it's ASUS M2PNV-MX motherboard...[/q]

That still doesn't mean anything regarding the acutal Firewire controller chipset. Which one do you have?

Sorry for the late reply..the firewire is VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller..I am sorry that I am not so good with computers..still in learning stage....Thank you for helping me though...
