Power down noise on QS8

Hey all,

I recently replaced the control slider panel on my old QS8. This was a simple operation, and I dont see how I could have screwed something up, but . . . now when I power down the unit I get this big Zing! or Zwang! kind of noise just before the unit shuts off.
Any Ideas?
