which mixer 2 use with hd24

I'm considering 2 buy a hd24.
2 mix i need a mixer, right?

1. what is a 'good' mixer 2 use with the hd24
2. I know i can use the pc (cubase/logic) via ftp.
how long does it take for example 2 'download' a song of 16 track 20min.

If you already have Cubase/Logic, then the easiest way is to buy the Fireport interface for your PC. Just plug your HD24 hard drive caddy into the Fireport and import all the files to your PC. You can do all of your mixing using your software.

Most of the time, I use my mixer only for it's preamps and monitoring while tracking.

what is the minimal required hardware(pc processor, memory, soundcard etc) for this kind of setup.(24 tracks-track/mix @ once)
