Help me im going in sain

Hi there guys

can anyone help me please

im running alesis io2 with Cubase le and it dose nothing at all the program loads up but nothing from there
im using a desktop computer with windows 7 on there's sound from my mic coming out from monitors and when I play a track sound comes out as well but nothing for recording the bar comes up and dose nothing
doesn't print anything on the screen sound wave wise
iv plugged it all into my laptop to try it on that and still the same, iv got the setting correct in the set up on the sound format on both computers

do I need to change software or do I just take back the alesis box n go for a mbox3 with pro tools????

please help me

Are you able to assign the IO2 to a recording track in Cubase? Have you installed the drivers.
