Alesis Monitor Two

That's cool, Fish!

One of the areas my studio is definitely lacking is in the reference monitor realm. I've used the "check the mix on four different sets of speakers" to get a running average, but I'm definitely going to have to break down and get either a good set of monitors or a great set of headphones before I mix our next CD in July/August.

The Monitor Ones were among my candidates, 'cause they're cheap! But the twos looked better as they're three-way. And, as anyone who's had a three-way can tell you...

Never mind. ;)

i have and would highly recomend the Mackie powerd studio monitors. they sound the best of any monitor out there, and you can tailor their sound to fit your room, in stead of changing your room.

The M1's do not need a power amp. Whan I bought my NS10's, I listened to many monitors at Mars and the M1's sounded just like the Monitor 2. So... the M1 is good sounding monitor. I did not go with the M1 for my second monitor because it sounded too close to the Monitor 2.
