Hello. I just bought a second-hand electronic drumset that consists of all parts Roland + Alesis D4 module. Unfortunately the display on the module doesn't work. I've figured out how to do a blind setup of individual pads but for the life of me I can't figure out how to set up the footswitch to open and close the hi-hat. The footswitch is a Roland FD-7, and I know it works because I tested the whole set out before I bought it, yet when I got it to my place it stopped working.
What I want to ask is, can somebody with an Alesis d4 give me concise steps of what button to press and when to set up the hi-hat controller? Once again, the LED doesn't work, so I need precise instructions. Thanks in advance.
