Recording and using audio as MIDI

Hi!

I'm looking for a way to easily record live audio, turn the recorded audio into MIDI and then be able to play it from a MIDI keyboard.

I'm using Ableton 9, and I'm trying to do it in a loop that goes around as I'm recording.

I've been trying to do so by recording the audio, slicing it to new MIDI track, and then play it. Which works out pretty good, but I'm running into some problems:

1.
The original recording will play back as the loop comes back around, so the original recording is making sound when I don't want it to.

2.
When I've made a MIDI sample that I'm happy with, I want to be able to make a new recording, and put that on top of the old one, in the same MIDI track (for instance; I've assigned the first loop to C1, now i want to make a new recording and assign that one to C#1)

Is there any way to work these kinks out?
Suuper grateful for any hints or answers!
