Multi Tracking Problem on TASCAM 464

Hi,

First time I'm trying to record in all four inputs on my tascam 464. Everything seemed to work well up to this point.
Plugged in two microphones into tracks 1 & 2
DI guitar into track 3 (no sound coming through the amps and only through tascam)
DI bass into track 4 (no sound through the amp, just through the tascam)

First attempt had bass on track 2, nothing on track 4 (maybe tracks 1, 2 and 3, don't remember now)
Second attempt had guitar on tracks 1, 2 and 3, nothing on track 4.

Any settings I've got wrong or something I need to push to hear all four tracks properly during playback?

While I'm at it, how come I can't adjust the EQ after recording?

Sorry, I'm new to this and don't know much about my gear, yet.

You have to set all tracks into Direct recording mode with the Record Function buttons.

EQ should be active on playback tracks when the channel (1-4) are set to Tape.

There will be no EQ on the Tape Cue mix section.

These things are explained in the manual.

Thanks for the tips Reel Person. I'll give that a shot and no manual included with my eBay purchase or I would've checked that out first.
