2488NEO Time Remaining Question

Last night I was tracking some vocals and instruments and when I finished up I noticed the "Rem:" number at about 67min. Went back this morning opening a different song an now it's up to 149min. I've noticed this number seems to be all over the place and not sure why. I've assumed this is time left for recording on the particular hard drive partition and when it has gotten low I've sometimes deleted a song to get some time back to work on other song tracks. Now I'm not sure if I really had to delete a song to make for more time or not.

Thoughts on what's going on?

If you hit "DELETE UNUSED" before shutting down, then that's probably why you have more time next time you open it up. Also, don't forget that it's telling you the time remaining if you record on one track. If you armed 2 tracks for recording, you'd see that number get cut in half, if you armed 4 tracks, it would get cut in half again, etc....

I don't hit "DELETE UNUSED" and I think you're right about arming of the tracks. I'll look at that next time I'm up and running. Makes sense.

Does the "delete unused" at least give you a choice of what is being deleted? How does that work or how should it be used? Thanks....
