performance issue

My asio drive in performances tab often gets full and then everything sounds glitchy, even when i stop it and wait a minute it still stays full, any tips on how i could improve that? it's really annoying... the project isnt so big too, 1 virtual drumkit and 4 guitar tracks ( total of 3 amp simulations and cabs) some light EQ and some comp that's all

Anyone has an idea on how i could improve the performances?
 
AMB phenom II x4 925 processor 2.8 GHZ.
4gb of RAM
64bit

im a computer noob, what else do you wanna know? the real strange thing happening is that sometimes cubase runs smootly and sometimes it randomly get overloaded and i can't do anything
