I want to be able to be able to control the faders and such in VEGAS AUDIO such as the way the Mackie HUI does for ProTools. What do you suggest? Also, what multi- input/output soundcards and/or interfaces do you suggest I should use with VEGAS AUDIO?

I have a keyboard with 8 outs (w30) and soon an MPC2000xl also with 8 outs. I want to be able to record the 8 outs into the computer onto separate tracks. Someone told me about SMPTE and S/P DIF... and doing each track from the keyboard or mpc one at a time. I don't know if I want to do that... suggestions?

thank you

You could purchase 2 sound card with 8INS each.

Or you could purchase 1 sound card with 16INS.

You could then make Vegas the MASTER and the MPC & keyboard the SLAVES (by using your MIDI ports).

Also, this setup will work for EXPORTING your waves over to ProTools.

Except, your computer will be the SLAVE and ProTools will be the MASTER.

If you need a more detailed explanation then post us back. :)

Peace...

Post script: Your soundcard/s will need to have midi ports.

If not, you could purchase a Midiman Midisport 2X2 (USB)
