Im totally new to multitracking and i'm having problems.

I want to put a reverb + chorus efffect on channel 2 (my vocals) and a different type of reverb on channel 1 (my guitar).

I can only work out how to apply the same effect to every channel.

Is it possible to use several different effects?

In theory does that mean you can use 8 channels and have a different effect on each?

If so, how????

thanks

Hi blisteredskin,

You can only apply 1 'effect' at a time. In saying this, you can create an effect that has reverb + chorus in it and use that.

The way I record is to record all my tracks dry then 'bounce' my tracks and when i 'bounce' them I add the effect. That way you can play around with the effect before you write it to disk.

To do what you want to do, you can do it 2 ways:

Record guitar with reverb effect, then separately record your vocals with the other effect.

Or,

Record guitar to channel 1 & guitar to track 2 at the same time, then when mixing, bounce track 1 to 3 with the reverb + chorus effect, then bounce track 2 to 4 with the reverb effect.

Doing the second allows you to monitor what you are doing a lot more easier.
