br-1200cd help

I just purchased a br-1200 off ebay and it seems to function just fine, except that when i plug the usb port to my PC, nothing happens. The pc should automatically recognize the drive in the recorder, but it doesnt. I tried it on my laptop as well and nothing happens. What am i doing wrong? Thanks

Go to the Roland/Boss website and d/l the latest software patches, see if that helps.

I've just bought a boss BR-900CD, and if the 1200 is like the 900 then you have to go into the utilities menu and select USB then backup or export. The PC will then recognise the BR as a hard disk.
