Pro Tools and a mixer...

Everything should be going and coming from the mixer in order to hear and sing without latency. For example if you had your mic plugged in to the channel 1 on the mixer, then take a direct out from channel 1 of the mixer into the audio interface input. Now take the outputs (1 2 or L R) from the audio interface and plug them into two channels (2 & 3) on the mixer. You have to setup a headphone mix from the mixer. Usually this is done with the auxilary bus on the mixer. You should mute the track output you are recording to within protools. So, by doing this you are listening to the mic input on the mixer and the output of pro tools.
