Hi all! I've posted this over at the DUC as well - hopefully someone can help me out.
Here's my situation:
Last night I tracked a live show using Cubase SE on my laptop. Wrote aif files and all was good. Everything works fine back at home using Cubase SX 2.2 as well.
I create a session in ProTools and start importing tracks. As I'm adding them I can listen to the preview and see the file attributes.
As soon as the waveform draws and the track is in the project, it's all white noise! The waveform LOOKS fine on the screen, but all I get is noise at full blast.
If I go back and try to re-import, PT tells me the file is unrecognizable. It will also not play in any of my audio programs (Play, iTunes, etc) whereas they were fine prior to the attempted import.
Any idea what's going on here? I've tried rebooting and it doesn't seem to help. Somehow PT seems to be corrupting the file bringing it into the project, but I have no idea how or why.
Any ideas?
