Hi there,

Running Pro Tools 7.3.1 M Powered
on a Mac G5 Dual 2.5gb Ram

How compatible is the BEHRINGER BCF 2000 with this system?

Obviously I'd like to have a more hands on approach to mixing and automation.

Has anyone here had any experiences/opinions they'd like to share?

Many thanks

what interface are you running? you should be fine provided that you have midi i/o...

I used one for a couple of weeks while I was waiting for my new digital board to come in.

Works great in Mackie Baby HUI mode. I used PT 7.1 - not sure how different M-Powered 7.3 is but I would imagine it would be very similar if not exactly the same.

USB is the easiest way to get it working.

Bear in mind that it is not touch sensitive so you cant punch in automation like you can with a real motofader.

Okay, I'm kinda new to Pro Tools, so maybe I got it wrong ;)

If I take a track and set the automation mode to Write, then it "records" everything I do with the fader on my BCF2000...

I use it for fades and adjustments on vocals and other effects...

It is about how it reacts to you moving it while it is in motion. A real motofader will allow you to make any adjustments as it is moving, the BCF does not work that way.

here are couple of discussions:
