I've been playing with Cubase 7 for about 3 weeks, and It is really cool. Has anybody else upgraded?

Yes sir. Wasn't happy with the 7.0.1 "fix" though.
Botch.
I snagged the padshop pro upgrade. Man that is one of the most fantastic instruments I have ever looked at that has been included in a recording program.

Ask me anything about cubase and I probably know the answer. Except what is "best." Asking for the best is like asking who is the prettiest woman on the planet.
I haven't but anticipate doing so this week.
Any terrible issues been going on with it? I haven't really researched much.
After doing a little reading on the Steinberg forums though, maybe I'll wait it out and stick with 6 a little longer till 7 has been made a bit more stable and get an external hard-drive for projects instead...
It is here, and many are already bitching...
The same people who complain all the time. I don't get it myself. Except for a few workflow glitches (and one big stupid turd of vmx files gone in 7.1.0), it is extremely stable.
"I can't get it to download"/"Takes to long to load"/"I want colors in my mixer"/"Why won't the Hub connect?".... I am not so sure about everyone else, but I like it because it works for me. Every time.
I'm just going to shut up now. I already vented a bit at steiney.
Some people are just not me...
I love C7 myself.

Ah, well, you've never led me astray so I'll take your word on it!
The only thing that really concerned me was that there are people over at the steinberg forums complaining about VST issues. Performance spiking/shutdowns and it losing the VST path.
Is it that bad on your end?
And... VMX Files?
I'll be honest. I have no clue what that means to my workflow.
Well, there are always people there, complaining about stuff like that. Keep in mind, that people that post there, are usually having problems. When you don't have problems, well, most people don't care to share.
I have absolutely no issues at all now.
vmx files are a way to store mixer settings. You can save a whole session, or a single channels inserts, eq and such. Comes in real handy when recording a whole project, and want to use the same setup for another track, for a different song or session. Many of us depend on it. The first update, which was more of a beta test thing (Steinberg calls then 'unsupported updates'), had some serious issues. The thing is, if you use Cubase in a professional setting, you already know better than to update your software in the middle of a project. Those who don't realize how stupid this is to try, are the same ones bitching about Cubase, and likely do not have their systems working correctly anyway. I seriously get the feeling, every time I hear someone complaining about their systems not working right with Cubase, that they are using things they probably have no right using in the first place. It just does not make sense that I have never had any issues, aside from little glitches, and so many seem to never get the software to work. There has to be something going on there....
I just had a guy on the Steiny forum, say that I don't know anything, because it is an upgrade issue. That unless I upgraded from each version, that I would not have the problem. Guess what? I have upgraded since LE4, and never had an issue. Take what people there say as 'their' issues, and don't think it as truth.
Just the other day, there was a guy complaining about CPU spikes, and blaming Cubase for the problem. It was a wireless mouse driver, from a previous wireless one, he no longer used, that caused the problem. I had similar with a KVM switch that suddenly went bad. $400 later, I figured out the problem. I could have gone whining on their forum about how crappy Cubase was, but I know better than that. Most do not, and blame the easiest thing to blame it on.
Ok, I'm done.![]()

I bought a new hex core a few months ago because my old PC wouldn't keep up with Cubase 6.5.
I have had no issues with Cubase 7, and I installed 7.0.2 last night.
