Can't drop and drag grooves(DKFH)

Hi, I used to be able to just simply drag and drop a groove from my DKFH... into Cubase 4LE.. now I can not with Cubase 6 Elements for some reason.. however I've figured out how to multi-channel the drums or edit them within a midi track.. but the simple process of just dragging a groove over seems elusive.. is it because Im now using a dual monitor setup? I'm lost.. its so much easier to find a close groove then just edit it.. however like I said I can't seem to figure it out.

Use the pencil tool to draw an event first. Then drag to it.

I tried that and no go... its just plain weird.. such a simple task.

If that didn't work, then it sounds like you bed to trash your preferences. Look up Cubase via Start-All Programs. In there the is an app data folder. Delete all contents of that folder, and restart Cubase. It will recreate the preferences to default. Many times, things get all corrupt in there, and can cause weird stuff to happen. Try this first and let me know if it solved your issue.

I really appreciate the help Jimmy. Do I also delete the folders in there ie. Presets , Project Templates and Scripts?

The weird thing is I just fired up 4LE on the same cpu.. and of course I can drag the groove to a track no problem.. there has to be something Im missing in 6 elements.. its just plain strange.. I did notice however that LE 4 will not let me use both monitors... , for example it wont let me drag the ezdrummer program to my other monitor like elements will..

Yes you would. Just save all the contents of that folder to your desktop before deleting, so that you can see if trashing them works. If it does, then you can copy/paste back in individual subfolders to try to get your Presets, templates and such back. It is hard to say which one is corrupted.

CTRL+Delete (Duplicate event) has gone away for me a couple times, and trashing prefs solved it each time.

/sigh ... no go on the data folder.. I wonder if just trying a reinstall of ezdrummer might work..?
