Gibson Brands Announces Intention to Acquire Cakewalk Inc.
Gibson Brands, the number one company in music and sound, has entered into a letter of intent with Roland Corporation and Cakewalk, Inc. for Gibson to acquire Cakewalk pursuant to definitive acquisition agreements to be negotiated by the parties. According to Gibson Brands Chairman and CEO Henry Juszkiewicz, “As an addition to the Gibson Pro Audio Group, Cakewalk will enhance their flagship professional products, pursue provocative R&D initiatives, and continue to serve the needs of musicians and producers world-wide.”

Yeah, that would be good. I would have liked to get a version of sonar with my us-1800 instead of what ever it was that came with it. Never installed or tried to use. But I already had Sonar when I bought the tascam.

I would imagine that there will be some very competitive packages put out.

hmm, Tascam interface, rockit monitors, sonar, cerwin vega pa, whirlitzer keys, les paul......nice give away to promote the Gibson line.....
