Can a 3630 "Compressor" be modified to be usable?

Yes Bruce and Gezzgas,
I Scooter B am BROKE I have $3 for gas and lunch money to last me for the next 11 days. Then I will get paid, pay bills buy food and medicine and be broke again. I thought I was going to get some money out of a medical reimbursment account to get the RNC but there was an error my deductions and my account is dry.
I have had the 3630's and the manuels for over 6 years and have yet to find a use for it as a compressor. The noise gate can be usefull and I am going to try it as a peak/limiter only but for true musical compression on guitar and bass I have yet to find a sonically pleasing sound.
So unless anyone wants to donate an RNC I just wanted to experiment with modifying my existing 3630's.
