Hi guys,
I'm having trouble setting up my home studio following a house move and covid related delays.
I'm using a Windows XP computer with an M-Audio 410 soundcard, running Cubase SX with a Yamaha MG12/4 mixing console.
It's been 18 months since I last had the opportunity to record, have moved and can't remember how to set up the cabling to and from the computer - I'm sure my advanced years are part of the problem! The Yamaha manual is not a lot of help to be fair. I have achieved sound and recording following the manual, but here's the thing: I'm trying to record the guitar track so that I can send you ONLY the guitar track. But what's being sent to the sound card is the backing as well, not what I need
If anyone has a similar set up, perhaps they could tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks
Rob
