Vintage Fostex 450 vs 820

They are from the same company, yet the difference in their preamps are like night and day. Anybody noticed this? The 820's seems to be a lot better, hate to use this word, but warmer. If you need to know what is and what's not, test them side by side and decide for yourself.

I have the model 450, never tried the 820, the 450's pres seem good to me but I hardly ever use them, I use a DMP-3 and a Audiobuddy. good heads up info...... I love my 450 though....
