Using Sony DLS Soft synth to other DAWs

I believe the DLS is a VSTi so it should work. If it is a different format it won't.

You just need to point Reaper to the proper .dll for the soft synth. Somewhere in Reaper, you tell it where to look for VST instruments, that is the folder where they are located. Just add the folder where your Sony DLS is located and the next time you load Reaper, it should show up.
 
I tried to copy the DLL file to the VST folder but still not showing in reaper. I think it's a built in VST in ACID. Hopefully not.
 
Humm, I'm not familar with Reaper, I use Sonar. It has a command to re-scan the VST folder. Is there something like that in Reaper I wonder?
