tascam 1884 trouble

i just purchased a tascam 1884 and i cant get protools to recognize it so i can use the flip fade computer mode you know automation. i have done everything from downloading the new drivers to reinstalling protools. i have probably done most things you are going to tell me but i would love to get input on this issue just ask and i will let you know so we can try to solve this issue. i appreciate all help.

Sorry - just joined this forum. The FIRST thing you want to check is that you have a Firewire card with a TI (Texas Instruments) chip set. That is step one.

Second you can reset your board. turn power off. hold down Flip On Aux3 and Aux5 and then power up. All lights will flash a few times and unit will reset.
