Sonar/Reason-How do i get Redrum beats in to Sonar to record??

Hi,
I am very new to this whole recording thing so someone will have to explain this to me in kiddie terms... seriously :) I have rewired Sonar 6 to work with Reason 3. Everything works fine but when I program beats on the Redrum in Reason I can't record them in Sonar. I can play the Redrum manually on the controller and it records but I would rather do it the other way. Can anybody shed some light on this for me please?

you need to export the midi file from reason and then put the midi from reason into the rewire track in sonar. but sonar wont record anything thats not input in midi format in its own sequencer from reason
