Sonar Crashing at Random Times?

When im going through playback or inserting an effect.
my sonar 8 producer edition will sometimes 'Drop out' then not respond. forcing me to close the program and have unsaved worked deleted.
sometimes luckily the auto save feature saves it but not all the time.
Please help in resolving this issue! :spank:
 
Sounds like a resource problem on your computer. Not enough 'oomph' being directed to Sonar.
But without knowing more details, this is just speculation :)
 
I would be inclined to look at the plug-in or effect you are trying to use. It may not be configured properly, or it might just be a poorly written VST.

What exactly are you doing when this happens? What are your specifications? What audio equipment are you connected to, and with what drivers?

Are you using Sonar 8 or 8.5?
