I've been using Cakewalk Sonar for years now. I've also seemed to always have problems burning audio CDs. No matter what computer, what burner or burning app....it's still there....it's like gaps in the audio....not really a skip, more of a section of the audio actually left out. Through much trial and troubleshooting I've finally figured out that it's Cakewalk that's the culprit. Here's how I figured it out. I restored my computer to a fresh installation of XP with no programs installed burned a CD and it works fine. Immediately after I installed Sonar 7 the problem reappeared. The best I can figure Cakewalk installs or reconfigures an audio CODEC somehow. Has anyone else seen this issue and how can I go about fixing it. I've been using Cakewalk for so many years I don't want to learn another app.
