Orchestra Libraries - Plugin or Multi Mics (or both) For Reverb

When mixing multi-mic orchestra library instruments, are the room and ambient mics supposed to be the best approach to adding reverb, or do reverb plugins come into the mix? Is it common to only use the close mics then use reverb plugins to better match the rest of the mix?
 
It’s not really reverb, it’s space matching, to get all your tracks in the same place, to which you can add more reverb if it’s appropriate. I never used the mic settings much till I owned more. Spitfire is a favourite, but I needed perhaps a cello from abbey road to sit with the violas and violins and this was where the mix between mics was needed because it’s not just the reverb, but the room differences that were obvious.
