Hey,
lately I came across an interesting project called "matchering". It is a python library, that extracts RMS, frequency spectrum etc from a reference file and masters a given target file to match the characteristics of the reference.
It works for me out of the box if you supply a wav-file as reference. Just tested a guitar song that I mastered with different reference tracks and indeed you can hear some differences. Of course, since it works fully automatic you do not have any control over the output except for choosing a different reference track, but to quickly adjust the levels of a song to fit in a given playlist it is nice.
