Making Sub-Bass drums

The guy in the video used ES2 from Logic to do this and i use windows and Cubase 7, does anyone know a VSTi that is as good to do stuff like that?

the mda subsynth plugin (free) can key a sub tone based on an audio event (like a kick transient). Set it to "key" mode, set the frequency and release of the tone you'd like to create (I usually set it from 35 to 45 Hz) and set the threshold. Done.

Only problem is that it's not strictly an 808 type effect because the pitch doesn't change, but it's great to add some subtle subs to your kick drum.
