Mackie board signal issue

Got it, makes sense. So I checked all the other normal outputs (speaker connected to studio, control room, main mix, also tried both headphone jacks) and the problem persists throughout. I'm getting audio perfectly fine out of the busses, haven't tried the main sends. There are no solo buttons stuck down. From an audio perspective (forgetting the meters for a moment), the board is acting as it should except for the main fader issue.

Well, I think I just screwed the pooch. I opened up the unit and found a partially-unseated ribbon cable. Following some online advice, I unseated and reseated all the ribbon cables in reach one at a time, made sure everything besides the ribbon cables were seated correctly, and put it all back together. Now I get nothing in the right channel at all, and there's an intermittent, timed CLICK every several seconds coming from nowhere. Channel one doesn't work at all. I'm worse off than where I started. Is it time to junk it?
